I had the satisfaction of being a high school science teacher for twelve years. I have taught AP Physics, College Prep Physics (Traditional and Conceptual), College Prep Chemistry, Physical Science (College Prep and Survey) and General Science. I have created and implemented Laboratory Exercises, participated in textbook selection and added Spin Art to the Art Curriculum. ***Prior to teaching,*** I had managerial and research experience in both industrial and clinical laboratory environments: Responsible for 35 people and a budget of $4.1 million; Improved laboratory efficiency, which reduced costs and increased quality; Identified and implemented better instruments, reagents and operating procedures; Designed and managed programs for the creation, improvement and post-release support of in vitro diagnostic instruments and reagents, including resolution of technical, packaging, scheduling and sourcing problems; Created and championed new products and systems; Served as a managerial and technical advisor both inside and outside the company.
