About Katie

I have a science degree (MS in Cell and Molecular Biology) but my first job was a recruiter for scientific positions for various companies in the San Francisco Bay Area. I then moved into Project Management (PM) in 2005 and have worked at very small start ups, mid size and large (J&J) companies. I enjoy PM because it is the link between the various functions or departments to make sure all specialties are represented and consulted for decisions and activities for a project to be completed well. I work in the pharmaceutical industry, but PM is a skill set that can be taken into just about any industry.

I have two brothers that served in the Air Force and many uncles and grandparents that were in various arms of the military. Both brothers are now retired and work civilian jobs and I am thankful for the people that helped them transition and would like to pay it forward.
