About ron

I retired last year as a partner from Ernst & Young, (http://www.ey.com) the global audit, tax and consulting firm. Over the years, I conducted hundreds of interviews of potential employees and reviewed even more resumes.

I am interested in helping to transition veterans by assisting with resume reviews and mock interviews.

Below is some additional information from my bio:

Ron Lobel retired in June 2015 as a Partner from Ernst & Young LLP, a member firm of the Global Ernst & Young (EY) organization comprised of over 200,000 personnel in 150 countries. Prior to his retirement, he was a partner in EY’s Americas Advisory Quality Group. He also served as the Global Director of Quality for Advisory for EY. His responsibilities included a wide range of Quality and Risk Management (“Q&RM”) activities for EY’s Advisory Practices throughout the world. Ron has over 37 years of experience, of which 32 were with EY and Kenneth Leventhal & Company (which was acquired by EY in 1995).

Prior to his Advisory Quality role, Ron provided a wide range of Advisory and Audit services to clients in the Federal government, real estate and financial services sectors. He also led the EY Federal Government Real Estate Advisory practice, based in Washington DC, for five years prior to assuming his Advisory Quality role.

Ron graduated from Miami University in 1978 with a B.S degree in business/accounting. He holds a CPA license from Texas. He lives in Potomac, MD with his wife Holly.
