About Rachelle

Hello and my unending gratitude for your sacrifices you and your family made for our country.
I'm the mother of one, grandmother of 6(!), an animal lover with too many animals but I still foster kittens and pet sit.
I joined the insurance industry in my early 20's and worked my way up from file girl to claims, receptionist, landing at Account Executive. An Account Executive does everything an agent does. I would service the account, turn in claims, add or delete autos, equipment or locations. I was required to hold a Property and Casualty insurance license. This required yearly recertification and day(s) of lectures that went with it. I loved insurance! Digging into a policy to find coverages, pouring over pages in the files to find the one thing. Too fun!
Now that I'm retired I get to entertain the other side of my brain with two legged grandkids and four legged fur kids! I'm passionate about animals of all kinds and wish I could do more.
I went to school in Lawton, OK. We lived near the base, Ft. Sill, so I went to school with lots of "military brats". Several were great friends. When my son was 7 I decided I wanted to take interior design classes and signed up for a two year, four nights a week program with Platt College. I graduated, after receiving recognition for my leadership skills, and decided I couldn't go back to making minimum wage and raise a son. I stayed in the insurance industry and did interior designs for family, friends and myself.
Four years ago I was sawing a limb off a tree from a rickety ladder, fell and broke my leg. While recuperating with my leg it was discovered that I had rheumatoid arthritis. I later took disability and am now retired.
