About Eddie
Eddie Dunn currently leads a unique and dynamic veteran talent consulting practice focused on bridging the gap between veterans and employers. Previously, Eddie led the Marsh & McLennan Companies, Veteran Talent Initiative where he more than doubled the total number of veteran hires in less than three years, achieving the coveted recognition as the #1 Military Friendly Employer (MFE) in the nation, as announced by Victory Media, parent company of G.I. Jobs Magazine for 2017.
Prior to joining Marsh & McLennan Companies, Eddie led the Veteran Jobs Mission program for JPMorgan Chase from 2011 to 2014. In this role, he designed, built and grew the nationally recognized coalition of 150 private-sector companies working to employ our nation's veterans. In less than three years time, the coalition hired more than 140,000 veterans. Since that time, the coalition has grown to over 250 members and has hired over 400,000 veterans.
Eddie has also held several positions of increasing responsibility within the pharmaceutical industry and was owner of his own consulting firm, Innovative "Org" Design, focused on organizational leadership and change management. Previously, he was Director of Human Resources North America at Fisher Clinical Services, where he managed the function for three manufacturing sites. Earlier in his career, he was Associate Director of Human Resources at Novartis Pharmaceuticals.
Eddie is a 20-year veteran of the United States Army, both active duty and reserves. Having served in the famed 82nd Airborne Division as a young paratrooper and logistician, he later joined the Army Reserves, where he served in the 824th Quartermaster as a parachute rigger and jumpmaster. During that time, he deployed to Ground Zero during 9/11 and later for Operation Iraqi Freedom II in 2004, where he served with the 160th Military Police Battalion at Camp Bucca. He was later promoted to Master Sergeant, where he held the position of Company First Sergeant, leading the soldiers of the 421st Quartermaster before his retirement in 2008.
Eddie received his Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management from Nyack College, New York, where he graduated summa cum laude. He is the recipient of numerous awards and decorations, most notably, Glaxo Supervisor of the Year 1995; Combat Action Badge 2004; Army Commendation Medal 2004; Novartis CEO Diversity Leadership Award 2007; DOD, ESGR Seven Seals Award 2014 and most recently, two time recipient of the ESGR Patriot Award in 2015 and 2016. Eddie also served as an elected Town Councilman from 2011 - 2013 in Vernon, New Jersey, where he currently lives with his bride of 22 years, Marie Dunn.
