About Bryon
My name is Bryon Keim, I served 4yrs in the USAF in the mid 80's. Following my discharge from the Air Force in 1989 I began work at Newport News Shipbuilding in Newport News, VA. as an electrician apprentice. Due to defense cutbacks in 1990 I found myself with out a job and spent the next several years working various jobs.
In 1992 I attended Rice Aviation in Chesapeake, VA where I eventually earned my A&P License.
In 1994 I began my railroad career as an electrician apprentice with the BNSF Railway and became a Production Supervisor in 2000.
In 2002 I had the opportunity to work for GE Transportation as a Field Engineer for one of their products. This was the start of a 13 yr. career with GE Transportation that ultimately led to my last position as Program Manager, Remote Control Locomotives. In this role I managed the RCL locomotives for 3 class 1 railroads.
This past year, in 2015, I had the opportunity to join CSX Transportation, a class 1 railroad servicing the east coast where I am currently a Manager of Field Engineering at our headquarters in Jacksonville, FL.
I'm working on my 22nd year in the railroad environment, I highly recommend it to anyone interested in a long term career. The opportunities are endless.
