About matthew

Matthew Brown currently leads Global Data Center organization for HP Cloud Services. In this role he is responsible for end to end data center operations both IT hardware install, repair & maintenance as well as facility operations, design & Strategy. Matt also managed Hewlett Packard’s Global IT Data Center Strategy & Design team focused on strategy, design, and planning of mission-critical facilities throughout the world. In his 7 years at Hewlett Packard, Matt played a vital role in HP’s massive data center consolidation, developing and implementing next generation technology for Hewlett Packard’s Corporate IT “MDC” Data Centers. Prior to Hewlett Packard, Matt served as the Technical Operations Manager for a regional co-location provider, in Texas, responsible for data center operations, service delivery and IT operations. Matt also served as a Non-Commission office in the U.S Army leading the Node Center Tactical Network Operations team, responsible for managing the 1st Cavalry Division’s tactical communications infrastructure. Matt is an industry contributor with published white-papers on leading data center industry standards, methodologies and technologies. He holds a degree in Information Technology from Central Texas and Education in Engineering Technology from Texas State University.
