About Nicole
I have a B.A. degree in Social Development (psychology/philosophy) and certifications from the Minnesota Professional Psychological Association in Organizational Psych/Human Capital Management, Psychology of Bullying/Harassment and Psychology of Pain Management With/Without Opiate Addiction. I am also Lean and Six Sigma certified.
Most of my career has been based in leadership within training and development (including process improvement, operations management and multi-unit/district management). All 15+ years of management have been in the service industry (restaurants and retail). I have also owned 2 small businesses.
Currently I work as a Business Liaison for a Fortune 20 company in healthcare where I do collaboration regarding HR/onboarding and IT/applications support for a team of over 2500 employees globally. I also do project management for process improvement, I am the administrator of our team website/SharePoint, I write and distribute job aids, write and train new SOPs (standard operating procedures) and am constantly looking for ways to use Lean and Six Sigma concepts to better our team innovation and collaboration.
In my free time I host weekly social networking events with a Meetup.com social group for 20-50 members, I love to travel and SCUBA dive (I've also lived overseas), I am always up for an epicurean adventure with great wine, and I am working on training my new puppy to be a service/therapy animal so she can work with children in hospitals and seniors in hospice. I also love dancing and am a Kodak Certified Master Photographer (since 1998).
