About Mark
Serviced as an officer in the US Navy Civil Engineer Corps (Seabees) from 1988-1993, aboard two Marine bases, MCAS Iwakuni, Japan and MCCDC Quantico, VA.
Since leaving the service and completing a graduate degree, I spent 7 years as a management consultant doing re-engineering and strategy work across industries. Finally settled on financial services 12 years ago and have worked for two asset managers in the retirement industry and one global bank.
I am currnetly the head of corporate strategy for TIAA-CREF. I earned a BS in Engineering from Tufts while on an ROTC scholarship at MIT, and later an MBA from Duke.
I enjoy mentoring young professionals and got involved with American Corporate Partners at my last employer. My professional passion is helping companies chart new courses of direction and improve performance. On the personal side I enjoy outdoor activities with my family. We live in southern Connecticut about an hour north of New York City.
