About Hector
I am dual service. I served in the Navy in 1990-1992 on board the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN72). I was part of her first WESTPAC I 1991. i also did reserve time at Joint Reserve Base New Orleans after from 1992-1993. I returned to the reserves in 2001 and I was stationed at North Island Naval Air Station. In November 2001 I was selected to be deployed to Naval Air Station Willow Grove in PA. I was trained as a NEC 9545 Navy Law Enforcement Specialist. We were then sent to Washington DC where I was part of a Security Detachment at what is now the National Geospatial Agency for 1 year. in 2006 the enlistment age for the Army was raised to 42. I then enlisted in the Army for the sole purpose of working in the Mortuary Affairs unit. I was stationed at Ft Lee, Virginia and I was deployed to Baghdad, Iraq as a 92M for 6 months. I returned stateside and I served in the 240th Battalion as special assistant to the chaplain. I left active duty in 2010.
