About Uguanda
Chief Warrant Officer 3 (Retired) was born in Albany, GA. She enlisted into the Active Army in June 1991.
She attended Basic Training at Fort Jackson, S.C. and her initial Advanced Individual Training at Fort Lee,
VA. Upon completion of training, she was awarded Military Occupational Specialty 77F, Petroleum
Supply Specialist. She then returned home to attend college at Albany State University where she was
also a member of the ROTC program. She returned to Active duty in January 1996 and her first duty
location was Fort Irwin, CA. CW3 Simpson transitioned to Warrant Officer in 2009 and served as an
Information Systems Technician in the United States Army. She retired from military service at Fort
Myer, Va. in September 2019. Upon retirement from the Army, Uguanda dedicated her time to being a
Full-time business owner of Picture That Houston, located in Fresno, TX alongside her spouse. She’s a
College Adjunct Professor for Albany Technical College where she continues to work in the Information
Technology department.
