About A. Andra
Andra Grava is a General Agent in the Dallas area specializing in providing Disability Income Insurance products through a distribution network of independent agents, financial planners, and multiline agents throughout the country. In his managing role of The DI Center, a BGA focusing on DI and Life Insurance, he has been the #1 DI Branch Manager with Ameritas Life Insurance Corp. / The Union Central Life Insurance Company for over 10 years. His agency provides a wide array of products including, but not limited to: Disability Income Insurance, Life Insurance, Annuities, Retirement Plans, and Group Dental & Vision.
Andra is an active member in industry associations including NAIFA-Dallas, the Dallas Association of Health Underwriters, the General Agents and Managers Association (GAMA), the Financial Planning Association, the International Disability Insurance Society, the Association of Advanced Life Underwriters and the Society of Financial Service Professionals. He is the Immediate Past President of DAHU and a Past President of both NAIFA-Dallas and the Texas Leaders Roundtable. Andra speaks to industry and professional groups, both locally and nationally, on topics of Sales, Practice Management, and Disability Insurance.
Andra was commissioned a 2LT in the US Army in May of 1981. He served at Fort Bragg, Fort Sill and Fort Knox as a Field Artillery Officer. After 4 years on active duty, he continued his service first with a Reserve Basic Training unit in Fairfield, Ct and then with 80th MTC in Richmond, VA. After transferring to IRR he completed his service at the rank of Major in 2003.
Andra and his wife Kathy reside in Allen, TX. They have two grown children and two grandchildren.
