About Frank
My name is Frank Shade and I’m originally from Landover, Maryland. I served in the Air Force for 21 years and retired in 2013. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Graduate Certificate in Individual and Executive Coaching with continued training in improvement methods and project management.
During my Air Force career, I held various positions in IT services where I provided desktop and applications support to various software and hardware systems in the U.S. and around the world.
My most recent work includes being a Government Contract Manager/Business Solutions Manager for a $1.8M government mail service contract for the Air Force, with a workforce consisting of adults with disabilities. I managed and trained a team of 4 mail clerks and was responsible for the Statement of Work and Quality Management Plan. My most significant contributions came when I saved about $240K in workflow redesigns, which had a direct impact on improving the contract. I was presented with Employee of the Month by the CEO of Black Hills Works for my efforts in driving contract performance and saving money.
Through my work experiences, I’ve gained unique strengths in communication, strategic planning, and creating solutions that have had a direct impact on business objectives.
I have a “Mission First, People Always” attitude, and a passion for driving improvement along with empowering people. My greatest strengths in problem solving and organization are part of my ability to “simply make things better.” At the end of the day, creating change and watching it flourish is my purpose.
