About Ryan
I served as a Lieutenant in the Navy for 9 years. As a Weapon Systems Officer (WSO) in F/A-18F Super Hornets, I learned how to work with complex systems in a stressful environment. I also went through a rigorous training process focused on teaching strike-fighter tactics to less experienced naval aviators.
I developed a love for teaching while flying Super Hornets and I took that passion to the Naval Academy's Mechanical Engineering department. As a Lieutenant, I taught courses on mechanics, dynamics, and principles of propulsion; it was a fantastic experience.
I exited the Naval service in 2018, returned to my hometown in New Jersey, and joined my father in the plumbing & heating business. I am the fourth generation plumber in my family and have been handling all the phone calls, scheduling, customer relations, inventory, and billing for our business (in addition to making all the necessary repairs and replacements on-site). I have met all the requirements to take the exam to become a Master Plumber and will do so once testing centers re-open. In 2019, I passed the professional engineer (PE) exam in Mechanical: Thermal and Fluid Systems and became licensed in the state of New Jersey.
