About Kara
Marine veteran (rah!) who loves learning. The more I learn, the more I realize I don’t know. So, I take all the courses and do all the programs.
I studied marketing and logistics at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.
I learned basic electronics, Cisco routing and switching, & network troubleshooting as a 2822 Technical Controller in the Marine Corps.
As a Lance Corporal, I began my masters through Central Michigan’s Global Campus and studied organizational leadership.
My capstone for my masters program was going to coincide with my return to work after having my daughter, so I took a few extra classes to receive a graduate certificate in project management, and saved my capstone for a time I could better focus.
After finishing my enlistment, I completed the Onward to Opportunity Project Management curriculum and moved home to Nashville.
I found myself at Vanderbilt’s Owen Graduate School of Business pursuing my Masters in Business.
I am about a month away from my Leaders to Executives summer internship with T-Mobile working with the Director of Competitive & Consumer Insights.
