About Robert

I started out as a carpenter's apprentice doing commercial carpentry (drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings) and worked my way into being an architectural woodworker. I went back to school and got into construction management (high rises, schools, churches, a jail, and the Atlanta Olympic Stadium to name a few). Next I fell into a position overseeing construction for a large architectural firm. I wound up as a professor teaching and managing the construction management department. I missed the field and moved into a superintendent's role building the same type of projects.

One of my many professional certifications include registration as a building official. I am winding up my career mentoring contractors and designers as a building inspector and plans examiner.

As a college professor a spent quite a bit of time helping adults discover what their dream job looked like and assisted them in setting a course to achieve their dreams. Teaching was a lot of work and a lot of fun but mentoring the students was the best part.
