I served as Senior Operations Officer in a 24/7 Emergency Operations Center. Assisted in Staff Management of 10 staff members in the specialties of Administration, Force Protection, War Logistical Operations and Contingency /Exercise Planning Operations while providing guidance and leadership oversight for timely execution of tasks. Monitored the status of critical ground assets supporting tactical operations in Iraq, Afghanistan and South Korea. Received inquiries and requirements from field organizations and sister organizations, research issues and problems and facilitate expeditious resolution. Directly responsible to prepare formal classified briefings and present them to senior staff members on current operations in South West Asia. Represented CECOM at high level command planning sessions at various locations in support of the War fighter. Provided vertical and lateral planning, support and intervention to Army Field Support Brigades (AFSBs) and Subject Matter Experts when field problems occur requiring CECOM support. Conducted frequent liaisons with comparable Army organizations and Major Subordinate Commands requiring assistance. Received, evaluated and executed taskers from higher headquarters to subordinate elements providing guidance and expertise while monitoring the timeliness of each suspense. Occasionally served as the Senior Operations representative at Command Battle Update Briefs led by three and four-star Army generals. Trained newly assigned Battle Captains and Contractor personnel within the Emergency Operations Center and mentored and provided training guidance to counterparts. Constantly coordinated with other offices to ensure synchronization of our collective efforts as it relates to support to the War fighter in the Middle East the Far East, Pacific Command and the Continental United States. Fully conversant with Army Organizational structure from Company level to Corps level and Joint Force Operations (Army and Air) at the operational level. Knowledge of military plans and policies, staff planning and execution and contingency deployment planning. Knowledge of Combatant Commands in Southwest Asia (SWA) and defense equipment support in South Korea. Conversant with concepts of the National Response Framework (NRF), Emergency Support Functions (ESFs) and the Incident Command System from local field operating levels to National Level.
