About G. Rino

G. Rino Fazio is a Project Manager for financial systems in the Office of Global Financial Management Systems Directorate (GFMS), Bureau of Comptroller and Global Financial Services (CGFS) at the US Department of State. Rino is also a Major in the Army Reserve.

Rino began his military career at age 19 in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard where he enlisted in the Infantry. Rino then commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Military Intelligence Corps upon graduation from Temple University in 2002.

Rino’s military tours include Iraq in 2009 and Kosovo in 2003. Rino also served in New Orleans in response to Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

Rino has served in the National Guard as a Tactical Intelligence Officer, Infantry Battalion Intelligence Officer, and Assistant Infantry Brigade Intelligence Officer. Later in the Army Reserve, Rino has served as a Counterintelligence Platoon Leader, Company Executive Officer, Battalion Logistics Officer, Intelligence Section Chief, Battalion Operations Officer, Pentagon Staff Officer, and Battalion Executive Officer.

Rino’s military schools include the Military Intelligence Officer Basic and Career Courses, the Counterintelligence Special Agent Course, and the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College.

Rino has a B.B.A. in Finance from the Fox School of Business at Temple University and an M.B.A from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia.
