I have extensive experience in the Navy with leading teams and cross-functional initiatives including training, quality assurance, operations, workforce management, project management, and safety. As the Quality Assurance Supervisor, led global projects utilizing Operational Risk Management methodologies to improve overall quality and efficiency. While in the military, became well-travelled domestically and internationally experiencing diverse perspectives, cultures, and building networks. I am very passionate about career progression and my future goals entail making greater organizational and systemic changes appertaining to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Holds an Executive MBA in Leadership Development, a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management and minor in Business Law. Additionally, pursuing my SHRM-CP certification. I enjoy deploying my knowledge, skills, and abilities to be of benefit to people and organizations.
ADVICE: You will most likely have to jump from job to job until you get where you feel most productive. One thing I've constantly heard, "Gotta have a job to get a job". This has come to be a fact of the civilian lifestyle. It was very hard landing that first job, but after I did, it was easy to get hired by new employers afterwards. Stay focused on the military core values, keep that military drive, and success will follow.
