About Diana

I have been in the publishing industry since 2001; I started in STM (Scientific/Medical/Technical) Publishing with Marcel Dekker. I then moved over to the trade side working at Penguin (PenguinRandomHouse) for 6 years. I had a bit of a gap after my son was born and worked part time for a philadelphia Metro news paper. I am currently doing book production / manufacturing for HarperCollins.

In my spare time, I do stationery design and printing so I like all things paper, printing, and crafts.

I have a bachelors degree in journalism. I started out wanting to write, but found myself in the publishing world and haven't looked back. I really enjoy the manufacturing side of it, as it allows me to work with all the creative folks involved (editorial, design, art, etc), and help to put out a quality product.

I volunteer with Big Brothers/Big Sisters as well, mentoring a 14 yr old (we've been paired for about 4 years now).
