About Michael
I am a financial services industry professional and educator, with experience in building, managing and leading high performing teams across client, operational, profitability and governance facing challenges and goals. I focus on issues regarding operational risk, due diligence, business evaluation and wealth management .
Presently, I am the President of my own consulting firm, Sebago Associates, LLC which provides strategic consulting services. Additionally, I am an adjunct professor at Mercy College, teaching financial and investment management, business communications, and being a mentor for professional preparedness for student internships and full-time positions.
I have experience across many fields of financial services, in various facets of the wealth management industry. These experiences include President and Chief Operating Officer at Joel Isaacson & Co., LLC, a leading independent wealth management firm; Chief Operating Officer and EVP at Golden Retirement Resources; President of Independent Financial Marketing Group, Inc. which provided a full range of brokerage, investment advisory and insurance agency services in the financial institution channel via 2000 producers: and at Oppenheimer & Co., Inc. (later CIBC World Markets), serving as Managing Director / Chief Operations Officer.
