About Matthew

I am a small animal veterinarian. I took the long road to becoming a surgeon after receiving my DVM degree in 1997. After graduating from college I moved to Boston to pursue a dream of competing for the US in rowing at the Olympics. I worked as a general practitioner for three years while training. Unfortunately I was not able to achieve my goal of making the US team. I then turned my attention and focus to achieve back to my career in pursuit of becoming a surgeon. I completed 5 internships (usually 1-2 sometimes 3 is needed for most). I travelled across North America in pursuit of career. If someone is interested in returning to college and pursuing a career in veterinary medicine I believe I could help navigate that course.
