About Sandy

Sandy Lawrence works as an author, instructor, consultant, and a willing contributor of expertise when it comes to helping people and organizations transition and transform. She harnesses her efforts through her company Monster Smarts, dedicated to helping people, start-ups, and structured organizations to assess and deliver prescriptive recommendations for improvements to profitability, efficiency, market optimization and employee health within the Project Management ecosystem.
Sandy is a USF Bull alumni with degrees in MIS and a Masters in Curriculum and Technology. Certifications include the PfMP, PgMP, PMP, as well as the Lean Six Sigma green belt and ITIL frameworks. This powerful combination of training has propelled Sandy to share her knowledge and expertise with people and organizations through coaching, mentoring, and training.
Her volunteer focus has been primarily with the Project Management Institute (PMI), where she has been a member for over 15 years serving at both the chapter and global levels. She graduated from the PMI Leadership Institute Master Class in 2011 and in 2012, was honored to be the Leadership Institute Master Class (LIMC) Advisor for the 2013 EMEA class.
Having delivered highly-effective results in more than 5 diverse industries, her passion and appreciation for the military gave cause for her to co-author four books aimed at helping military transition into the corporate workforce; specifically in the areas of Project Management, Logistics, IT, and Cybersecurity. She has dedicated her free time to launch a grass roots effort within PMI to recognize and launch the Military Liaison program – to help military in their quest for project management careers and knowledge. Co-author of the The Transition Military Series books in: Project Management, Logistician at GR8MilitaryPM.com
