About Jared
I'm retired Navy after 21 years of service; retired in April 2014. I've been employed with Sentara Healthcare as the Executive Assistant/Chief of Staff to the Executive Vice President/Chief Financial Officer, and also the Vice President of Hospital Finance since February 2014. Healthcare is a great business sector to be a part of, but Director and above positions require specific titles (RN, Nurse, Dr, Therapist, etc.).
I have a MBA, and my Bachelor's Degree was in Business Administration: Technology Management. Both degrees are from Saint Leo University.
My passion is guiding and leading people while engaged with other managers discussing leadership styles and basic management functions within the company. I'm eager to find a family, not just a career, that will offer support for self-betterment and encourage career goal accomplishments. What I am having trouble with is explaining how my military experience applies to companies that are not involved with the military or government. Specifically when a job requires XX years in Project Management, XX years as an Analyst, XX years Quality Assurance, etc. Many times I've observed a company wants the experience based on their industry (healthcare, financial, etc.). That is where I struggle to match my experience with theirs.
