About Deborah
My passion lies in helping people access their power to be their best personal and professional selves. I coach driven people towards ongoing growth, and have supported teachers, organizational leaders, and small business owners.
My academic backgrounds are in science and education. I have a bachelor's degree in biological science from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and a master's degree in teacher leadership from National University in La Jolla, California. I was also enrolled in a doctoral program in ecology and evolutionary biology at the University of Illinois in Chicago, where I taught genetics and ecology and worked in a research lab prior to finding my desire to teach and inspire others. I became a high school science teacher and taught at high-needs public schools in two cities in California, and then had opportunities to train and coach other teachers. I now work as a coach full-time, continuing my work in schools and working with other clients on leadership development.
I would love to support students, career changers, or emerging leaders in transferring their skills and experience to their next steps, getting clear on their vision of success, and cultivating the mindset that will get them to their goals.
