Cable TV Land- A Good Choice For You!

Career Advancement

This is directed at all veterans who spent the last few years getting upfront and personal with a Claymore Mine, settings on an artillery fuse or connections on a water truck: You may have already noticed that civilian jobs do not have these items in your required skill set for employment. However, you can be a Cable Tech with no prior experience. I spent 40 years in Cable TV and loved it.

From my experience, Time Warner Cable is good company to work for, with good benefits. If you can get it, work days are four with 10 hours. This would give you plenty of time to get a degree. Tech experience and a BA/BS will lead you to a upper management job in Cable TV.

Here’s a link to Time Warner’s military recruiting site that will take you to all nationwide opportunities: http://jobs.timewarnercable.com/content/military/

(Please note I have no economic connection with Time Warner Cable, other than the emails I have been getting from a Techs Ops Supervisor in Raleigh/Durham, NC.)
