I figured I would spread the word about ABET Accredited engineering programs as they are a recent development. The military is full of brilliant technicians who have to maintain the most advanced military hardware in the world. Going from technician to engineer is a pretty common career transition and for the most part, it makes sense. The military is good at fostering technical curiosity and that will pay the bills if your curiosity leads to a college degree. However, making it to class is a challenge when constantly on deployments or detachments. So, for you active duty warriors out there who are interested in engineering, you now have more options on how to achieve your educational and career goals. Below is some information taken from the ABET website. This is a really good opportunity for service members who would like to continue their active duty service and still get a highly marketable degree.
Online Programs
Many academic programs in higher education have at least some content offered online including individual courses, homework assignments, and class research projects. What constitutes an “online” program is not always well-defined. In addition, the percentage of online content for any academic program changes frequently. The vast majority of ABET-accredited programs are offered mostly on-site. The following ABET-accredited programs are offered in a 100% online format.
