What is a Registered Agent?
A Registered Agent also referred to as a statutory agent or resident agent is a business or individual designated to receive Service of Process for a legal entity. In a nutshell, when you form a legal entity such as a corporation or LLC you are required to maintain a Registered Agent. The Registered Agent must provide a physical address within the state of formation or registration that is open during normal business hours.
